As I was wakened to a sounding (not chirping) smoke detector in my garage it got me thinking about how many people actually have a smoke detector in there garage. It's soon to be summer time. People tend to travel more using rental vehicles and/or valet parking. When using valet parking don't tempt people by leaving weapons, cash or computers in the vehicle. Nobody wants to see water dripping from the ceiling. Air conditioner pan overflow is a problem in Texas. When both the primary and secondary drains are blocked overflow occurs. Don’t forget to wrap your exterior pipes, sprinkler control valve and plants. Anytime the temperature drops below freezing for a long period of time it’s always a good idea to drip your water faucets or to turn off the water to the house and drain the remaining water in the pipes to prevent a busted pipe.
